I ate at that restaurant in '95. The food was mediocre. The experience was very interesting. But, I have to say, even back than it was a floating wreck. Not more, not less. I wondered, how it stayed afloat.
Oh nooo…i've been there when i was still a kid…the dishes there r very delicious and i remember the restaurant had this beautiful ornaments,i felt like im in a castle but im in a ship…we took pictures wearing traditional dresses…its a beautiful n humongous restaurant…why hongkong cant maintain the beautiful jumbo restaurant?!?! Im so sad now…😭😭😭

So sad. I ate there in '86 and it was one of the best experiences I had in HK. The decor was fascinating and beautiful, and the food was some of the best I ever tasted. For these reasons the communists had to destroy it, because that's what communists always do, destroy everything that is wonderful.

Honestly, it was such a stupid idea to tow it to literally Cambodia to just repair it. They could've just towed it to like China to fix it or something. Plus they also could've left it there, it would've lasted longer.
Would have been lovely to have it as a museum.
