RIP kev…. this was hard to watch. Wish you would have gotten the health insurance.
This is somewhat prophetic. For those that might be watching Kev for the first time, he has long since passed away. Ironically, considering his remarks here, he got throat cancer. At the time he said that he wished he had taken out health insurance, in fact, he said he had intend to take it out when he turned 59. Kev continued to make his vlogs during his treatment, unfortunately, he got too sick to continue. He ended up establishing a “Go Fund Me” page as the expenses got too much for him. In the end he returned to England where he eventually died. He is sadly missed.s

Hi Kev….Kev In Bournemouth here. Been regular visitor to Patts, the last 12 years, but only just caught your Vlogs…..found them very good, for info, and content. I'm ex BA Cabin Crew, now retired, and seriously thinking to spend 2/3 of the Winter months in Patts…..are you happy living over on the Darkside, it looks all ok to me, kind of done the wild side of LK etc, are there enough bars with reasonable girls to keep a guy happy?
The View Dee looked all ok…..anything a tad more upmarket with a pool, in the mix of things…..up too 15k.

BUPA Platinum Package is whats recommended for Thailand. You can choose if you want outpatient treatment or not, without you pay about 90 US$ per month for 5 Mio THB coverage. It eliminates hassles and being ripped off by hospitals since they know they can't screw with the local insurance. No matter if one has money or not, this is an investment one should always make.
if your rich then dont worry about health insurance but if not -then get it -very important
The restaurant looks amazing and I hope to make a visit. Despite the higher prices for premium non-Thai food which I will always crave, I prefer to spend my money at a place like that than 5 visits to fast food places.
Crazy but it seems almost every Thai I've known will prefer Thai food every meal! I need a taste of home and pretty often.

you obviously no pattaya well .Normally I'm paying over £400 for a months accommodation while on holiday ,do you have any contacts recommendations .
If that insurance quote is right and covers everything I'd say it's a no-brainer.

great vlog Kev been to that Glass house restaurant , full of richer Thai's from BKK tells you a lot about the place infact some weekends its hard to get a table I can vouch for that…another good place is Mun Aroy restaurant up top end of Naklua.. been catching up on your vlogs since I subscribed keep them coming maybe see you my next trip May 1st buy you a beer 555…be coming Patts after 1st week down Krabi
About 10 years ago my insurance ran out, I had two days left to complete a course I was doing. I thought well it's only two days but only went and had an accident and ended up in Pattaya Memorial for 10 days and 3 of those was in their intensive care. My bill was £850 and £600 of that was morphine but I had a good time lol.

i see as soon as you walked into the bistro some Italian looking fella clocked you , 2.30 and was watching you a few times in the video he must have thought here's a dodgy looking geezer ha ha ,by the way I thought farangs were not allowed to work in certain jobs in Thailand ie waiter , service industry etc .again another great vid with places most visitor to pattaya do not see cheers

Handy info about the health insurance, 40 years of graft finished in the Uk next year so I will be there on my retirement Visa, none of those expensive Visa runs sitting on the back axles of mini buses for hours. I cant wait :-))
