Jet ski scams are rare now. Tourist police have crackeded down hard on touts on beaches and have jailed many. If you are dumb enough to get so drunk that you cannot count your beers then you deserve to get ripped off. Pet scams are now non existent as tourists have o jected so much they have all een cleared off beaches etc.
Never watch video to the end if they have to tell you to watch to the end.

You forgot a typical Thailand scam. The Thailand apartment rental scam. Apartment owners demand big security deposits when renting an apartment. The problem is, the owner will ALWAYS claim you somehow damaged the apartment and will not return your deposit. It's the same scheme to defraud as the Thailand jetski scam
This guy has some personal vendetta against jet skis. Of course there are scams but that doesn’t mean you have to listen to this grandma and avoid them completely on A HOLIDAY. When renting jet ski, take phone camera and record a video of the entire jetski. Im talking record EVERY INCH OF IT. This will show the guys u are not an idiot and give u defence to prove it was there. Also its good to know if there are any scratches beforehand for yourself. So record a detailed vid, INSPECT and ENJOY!! DONT AVOID FUN LIKE THE LIL BITCH WHO MADE THIS VID 🤣 scammers prey on the weak dont be weak! Be smart and strong

I get the extra charge if a tout persuades you to come in HOWEVER what if you head to a particular bar and you decide to go in with no tout persuasion and they follow you in to make it appear like they convinced you to buy a drink? How do you avoid that? They could smile and say hello as you walk in and then follow you to your table. It’s not easy to avoid this one I feel.

If you do you have to take extensive photos and videos of it before hand. It's usually Indians that get caught, but no one is immune. Do the same when renting a motocy. Although more than likely, unless you are an experienced biker, most damage will be real, when you have the inevitable accident. Its almost a right of passage. Please at least wear a helmet and have insurance that covers you – which it wont unless you have a valid international motorcycle license. And don't hand over your passport as security. Negotiate for a cash deposit. If they don't accept it, go the the next vendor. The helmets they provide are crap too. So if you're renting a moto for a week or more, it will pay to go buy a decent helmet at Lotus's – cost bugger all. Or "Lota-dud" as the Thais call it.
Most tourists just have no sence at all. Stay FAR away from jet skis and that scam stops… also the disturbing noise.

Only 1 subject looks like a Scam. Other things not too much. Ping pong show is just overvalued. And on more thing – if you are drunk in. Bangla and buying drink to everyone. And next day You didn't remember that and looking at the bills – than Yes, it may look like a scam. But honestly, it can happen to You everywhere, where is party and You are get drunk and want to be a generous person, but next day You are sober and You thinking that it wasn't You haha.

Ye I got the drink scam n it wasn't over beer or wine it was a street drink stall in Vietnam I had befriended a few ladies in the last few days as I kept going to Benh Ten market, they wanted me to buy of their little carts which held gifts souvenirs etc I said I couldn't as I'm traveling many places n didn't need then n will buy them a drink each. It started with 2 women n more suddenly sat down n chatted with us 2 become 6 including a mum n baby begging for money so I thougth 6 np I had sugar cane juice the other liked avo smoothie. When I got the bill it was for 14 drinks wtf?? I said wtf is 14 drinks? Who were the other 8 drinks/people? I only sat with 6 people. I did complained n asked n a few ladies said oh they all bougth drinks for themselves n their partners n a few kids!! Oh ye? Why did no one ask if it was ok?, I think they just all took advantage of me thinking I'm stupid through being kind fine with me as this will be your last drink from me. Payed 540 freaking Dong haha wasn't much in Australian money but I sure got scammed beware of being kind let them suffer n work harder.

If you're stupid enough to support these jet ski businesses, make sure to take pictures of all damages. Don't forget underneath. Sometimes people get hurt for not paying. The police won't help you.

Unless you have just dropped of a Christmas tree then I wouldn’t worry at all , Iv been out many many times here and all over Thailand both alone and with friends had many heavy nights out, met plenty of people and had no problems at all !! Your more likely to get mugged in your own town than encounter any trouble here . Trust me Thailand all in all is very safe very friendly and an amazing place .

Also the police will Extort you if you are a tourist driving the scooters. They will say you have to have a international driver’s licenses and charge you a $1,000 baht Plus wear a helmet that’s one of the reasons for them to stop you and extort you. Best advice go to a travel agent it’s cheap to get a international driver’s licenses in Thailand. If they try to get money from you say you don’t have any that you just paid the last cop who pulled you over and they’ll let you go.
