I am now your new subscriber, thanks for the tips what to do inside the restaurant.
I never gave tips here in Brasil. The waitress and barmans are paid by the restaurant, by a monthly salary.
This lesson is amazing and very helpful 👌👍👍I am Indiana
I have developed my english language by seeing this videoes
I have a question concerning when we want to pay. In this video that say if they can get "the check", I heard this a couple of times, but also often read "can we have the bill", is this correct, too or is this used depe where we're from?
Great video! Thanks for the content. In Brazil it's usual to have a 10% gratuity included when ask for the check, mostly at dinners.
Let's say my check is $20 and I'm paying with a $100 bill. How can I politely tell the waiter/waitress they can keep part of the change as their tip?
I'm From Bangladesh, we are generally not Concern about tipping % with the restaurant check but give some additional money to the waiters. It sometimes depends on satisfaction regarding the service quality.
Thank you for great video, i learn new words and phrases. we dont have a custom tipping, It depends on people in Turkey. If the food and service good you can leave as much as you want.
I’m from Taiwan. In my country, people don’t usually give tips. But in many restaurants, the tip would be included in the charge. However, it’s not certain if those tips will really go to the servers.
By the way, it’s a good clip to learn real life English. I leaned a lot. Thanks a lot!
great as always! Miss you Ethan so much!
I am from Turkey. Tipping is not mandatory in my country, but anyone can give it.
I'm from Uzbekistan and "gratuity is already included in the cheque " as u said)
I wouldn't say we people from the U. S. are "peculiar" about how we order steak. I think "particular" would be a better word choice. We are usually rather specific about how we like our steak cooked, not odd.
waiter english
Jjjj
This lesson is so interesting. I learn many things from your videos. Hope you publish more useful videos
I'm from Brazil and we have no tipping. Depending on what state or district you are some waiters and waitresses would expect you to tip, but usually is not obligated.
In North America eating out is the big burden , tax plus tip. Mandatory tip is not fair to the customers, as they already paid the food and the service, why need to pay extra money, of course if you are rich , you can pay as much as you want😮
In Italy we never tip. Service is already included in the bill and this quite unfair because the restaurant earns it all and the waiters get very low salaries.
The meaning of eating out is obvious, no need to get an explanation (just like going out for example).
I’m from Russia and in my country it’ll be right if you tip at least 10% of the check, especially, when you sit in a group of three and more. In this way, u show your appreciation for the good job of a waiter or waitress. Of course, u can leave over 10% if you want, and my friends and I usually do so.
Here in Italy we usually don't tip but if you go to the restaurant (especially a good one or if you have a large party) it's nice to leave a tip. Waiters here are very happy to work near famous places since there are lot of American tourists so they can get a lot of tips 😉
Hi! Thank you for the video. I’m from Ukraine 🇺🇦 and we usually pay 10%. Anyway if you make order for 1000-2000$, you pay 10%.
Here in Mexico, we almost always, like 9 out of 10 times, don't leave a tip. But it is gonna depend on what place you'll eat. Usually, I don't leave a tip, I would say, almost never, but when I go to expensive restaurants I try to do it.
Tipping in Korea not only is not common but also it can irritate the waiter or waitress. It is not common in Taiwan also.
very nice job guys American
