Fujinomiya still has the best view if you want to see Mt. Fuji. I lived near the foot of the Mt. Fuji before. I loved looking at it in Lake Tanuki, especially during winter with the snowcap.
Went in 2011 on my birthday with some friends. I was afraid of heights but went all the way on the ropeway. We went on the pirateship mid summer but I got a cold so bad that I coughed for 2 weeks until I got some antibiotics! Also visited the Torii and had a great dinner in Tokyo which for 6 people was just 80 bucks. Good times good times!

Great location. I stayed at the Hakone Kowakien Ten-yu Hotel (more so a modern Ryokan) with my own private bath (which you fill with the hot spring water) on the balcony of the room. I just wish I stayed there more than 1 night, with fewer nights in Tokyo. 😊

Nice hotel and good to see the family on another trip. Kanae and Rio looks happy. The steps are steep and give you a good workout going up and down. Fujisan looks good. The onsen must be nice. Would this be Rio's first onsen? Thank you Daub family.

I was there in 2019, stayed in an onsen hotel near the train station. Took a ride on the pirate ship in Lake Ashi because we bought the tour package, which also included the mountain train, bus ride, ropeway, and other stuff. Didn't get to see Mr. Fuji since he was shy and hiding behind the August clouds. The whole trip was great with no COVID!
That's a beautiful relaxing refreshing hotel with the accommodation to go with it of course the views stunning 👀🏔️😍🙏🙏🙏💛
Love Hakone, we stayed at Gora. Have a look at the Checkpoint if you have time. It was way into Tokyo back in the day.

Went to Hakone in 2019. I absolutely loved it! Went on the pirate ship and up the ropeway to owakudani. It's gorgeous there. I miss it so much. Can't wait to go back!
I missed the livestream but so glad to have watched this. It took me back to my very first trip to Japan. Hakone was my first stop. It was super cold when we arrived and it hailed that day. We had yummy hot udon and even ate ice cream in front of Lake Ashi! 😄

I remember the sulphur aroma of the Hakone mineral water in the Onsen remained on my tshirt weeks after I returned home from my trip!

Hello from Toronto. A few years ago I took the pirate ship and it travelled right past the hotel. It was a memorable day and it’s well worth the day trip from Tokyo. A truly beautiful part of Japan.
Love Hakone! Really happy to see the place again because of you. We went there March 2020 after Sapporo. Our last travel before all the lockdowns.
